Privacy Policy

Effective July 9, 2026 · Updated October 10, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Solar Energy Lighting collects when you visit our website, subscribe to updates, or purchase our solar-powered LED street lamps. It also describes how that information is used and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, shipping address, and payment details when you place an order or subscribe to email updates. We also collect usage data through cookies, pixels and similar technologies — for example the pages you view, the products you add to your cart, the website or ad that referred you, and your device and browser type. We use it to run and improve the store and to measure and show our advertising; see "Cookies, analytics and advertising" below.

How we use your information

We use your information to fulfill orders, ship products, provide customer service, send order-related communications, and send marketing emails you have opted into. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every message.

Sharing

We share information with the service providers that run our store — for example, a shipping address with our carrier and fulfillment warehouse, and a transaction reference with our payment processor — and, as described in "Cookies, analytics and advertising" below, with Google and Meta for analytics and advertising. We do not rent your personal information or sell it for money.

Data retention

Order and account records are retained for the period required for tax, warranty, and support obligations. Marketing preferences are retained until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion, subject to applicable law. Contact us using the details below.

Privacy

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We and our advertising partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies (including your browser's local storage) to keep your cart working, understand how our store is used, measure whether our ads lead to visits and purchases, and show you our ads on other websites and apps. This section explains what we use and how you can opt out.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the store to work, such as remembering your cart and checkout details. Others help us measure visits and advertising. We also keep a first-party record of how you arrived at our store (for example, the website or ad that referred you and the ad click identifier in the link) so we can tell which of our ads work.

Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. It uses cookies and device identifiers to collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view, the products you add to your cart and purchase, the website or ad that referred you, and your device and browser type. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Google Ads

We may use the Google tag for Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing. When you click one of our Google ads, the link includes a click identifier (gclid) that is stored in a cookie or your browser's local storage on our site, so we can tell Google when that click leads to a purchase. Remarketing lets Google show our ads to people who have visited our store, using cookies and device identifiers. Information about the products you view (such as product IDs and prices) may be shared with Google for this purpose.

Enhanced conversions (optional)

If we turn on Google Ads enhanced conversions, then when you place an order the email address and phone number you gave at checkout are hashed (converted into a one-way coded value using SHA-256) and sent to Google to help match the purchase to an ad click. Google receives the coded value, not your email or phone number in readable form. We do not send this information unless the feature is turned on.

Meta Pixel and Conversions API

We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). The Pixel uses cookies, including _fbp and, when you arrive from a Meta ad, _fbc (which holds the ad click identifier), to record events such as page views, items added to your cart, checkouts started, sign-ups and purchases. Through the Conversions API our servers also send Meta these events together with hashed (SHA-256) contact details, such as your email address, phone number, name and address, plus your browser's IP address and user agent and the _fbp / _fbc values. Meta uses this to match events to Meta accounts, measure our ads and show you relevant ads. You can learn more in Meta's Privacy Policy and manage your choices in your Facebook ad preferences.
